Brand Identity, Web Design

Meridian Group had been designing buildings for over a decade, presented through a generic template and a logo made in a hurry for a competition submission years earlier. The partners wanted something that read as considered as the buildings themselves: “it should look like it was designed by an architect, not assembled from a template.”
Three decisions that shaped the practice.
A wordmark with structure
Meridian Group had a decade of built work and a stock sans-serif logo standing in for an identity. We refined their mark into the MERIDIAN GROUP wordmark — a heavy geometric grotesk, all caps, tight tracking, paired with a single architectural arc — so it reads like a nameplate cast into a building, not a startup logo.

An index, not a portfolio grid
The project list runs as a numbered register — name, typology, year, a thumbnail that only appears on hover — closer to how an architecture monograph presents a body of work than a conventional card grid.

One flagship project, full bleed
Instead of splitting attention across a dozen thumbnails, the homepage gives a single project — Sundial House — a full split-screen feature with real specs, then lets the index carry the rest of the work.

Brief to launch.
